Maintenance works affecting aquatic facilities

Please note these temporary changes to services

The Sunshine Leisure Centre will have urgent and necessary works commencing Thursday 12 May 2022. This will result in some disruptions to service over the coming days with works scheduled to be completed early-mid the following week.

Key impacts include:

• The indoor 25m pool will begin to decrease in water temperature from Thursday (12/5) morning. As such, we will be extending the hours of the outdoor pool throughout the day and increasing the temperature to accommodate more users and groups. Swim lessons that are usually held in the indoor 25m pool will be transferred to the outdoor pool.
• The indoor 25m pool will continue to remain open as the temperature declines, it will close when the temperature is too cold to operate safely.
• The leisure pool and spa should not be affected. We anticipate swim lessons to continue as normal in this pool.
• The steam room is scheduled for repair Thursday 12 & Friday 13 May. It will re-open on Saturday 14 May.
• Air heating may be affected. This will likely impact the aquatic area and the changerooms.
• Hot water to the showers and taps in the changerooms will be unaffected.

We encourage visotrs to call ahead of their visit to ensure the services they wish to use are unaffected.
